Kathua, Samba Police reunites missing lady, girls with families

KATHUA Sept 5:Police station Lakhanpur today handed over a missing lady from Bihar found abandoned in its jurisdiction to her legal heirs.
The lady was found roaming in state of depression and thus Police Station Lakhanpur under the supervision of lady police provided her medical treatment to bring her in the state of normalcy.
Police after sustained efforts in spite of language barrier and illiteracy succeeded in locating the exact address of the lady out of several locations disclosed by her. Kathua Police also sought help of UP and Bihar police to reunite the lady with her family after legal formalities.
Her family members expressed gratitude to Kathua Police for reuniting them. People applauded the action of Police.
Meanwhile, Police Post Nagri, Kathua solved missing case and recovered a major girl within 48 hours since the time of her missing.
Police said that on September 3, a complaint was received at Police Post Nagri about missing of one major girl. Police instantly lodged a report and started search to trace out the missing girl.
After strenuous efforts and continuous search, police team led by ASI, Som Raj under the directions of Incharge Police Post, SI, Vikas Jasrotia today succeeded in tracing the missing girl from Ludhiana, Punjab.
After completing all legal formalities, she was handed over to her family.
The swift action of Kathua Police was largely appreciated by people. In another missing case district police, Samba today reunited a girl with her family members who being mentally unsound reached Samba from Jammu.
Acting on information about roaming of a girl at Main Chowk Bari Brahmana, a police party of PS Bari Brahmana, headed by SHO, P/S Bari Brahmana, Inspector, Ravinder Singh Rakwal under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana, Ashok Sharma reached the spot and traced out the girl from the area. The girl was brought back safely to the Police Station who seems to be mentally unsound and disclosed her identity as Sapna Devi, age 15 years and D/o Ram Singh (both name changed) R/o Fatehpur Brahmana, Tehsil RS Pura district Jammu
SHO PS Bari-Brahmana after strenuous effort worked out the contact numbers of her family members who were later on called at PS Bari-Barhmana to identify the missing girl. After proper identification and verification, the girl was handed over to her uncle namely Sukhdev Sharma, S/o Chiman Lal, R/o Fatehpur Brahmana, tehsil RS Pura, district Jammu who complimented the police for its arduous efforts in tracing his niece.
