Katra people for entry point to new track beyond Ban Ganga

KATRA, Mar 5: As S S Bloeria headed high level panel today held meeting with businessmen and prominent citizens of Katra, the latter submitted their suggestions and demands on the location of entry gate to newly developed track as well other local issues concerning Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
In the meeting, which lasted around two hours, the committee of prominent businessmen and citizens of Katra suggested that link road from old track to the new track be joined at a point after and above Ban Ganga.
The three-member high-level panel, headed by former Chief Secretary S S Bloeria and comprising of B B Vyas, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, A K Sahu, CEO of the Shrine Board, was appointed by Governor N N Vohra to look into the reservation of Katra people towards decisions of the Shrine Board and sort out the same.
Ravinder Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Tahir Sajad Bhat, SSP Reasi and other senior officers were also present in the meeting, which was held at the Shrine Board Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra, and attended by prominent citizens and businessmen of the holy town.
The committee of prominent citizens presented a charter of demands to the official panel for seeking action on the same. The demands included; linking the newly developed track with entry gate after and above Ban Ganga bridge, repair of old track, cleanliness of Ban Ganga and Katra town, maintaining sanctity of the pilgrimage, etc
According to DC Reasi, a detailed discussion was held on all the demands and issues, which would be taken up before the high authorities for further action.
Among the prominent citizens, who attended the meeting, included ex-MLA Baldev Raj Sharma, Kuldeep Dubey, Aashu Magotra, Bali Ram, Sohan Singh, Sher Singh and others.
