Kavinder distributes school shoes at MBIF function

JAMMU, Nov 27: Magic Bus India Foundation (MBIF)(a social organization) organised a program in which school shoes were distributed to the needy children studying in Government High School, Qasim Nagar,Bahu Fort.
Ninety students studying in the school were provided school shoes. Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta was the chief guest in the function. Others who accompanied him were Vinay Gupta, Sharda Devi, Vivek Patyal, Dalbir Singh, Suraj Rana and other social workers. Speaking on the occasion Kavinder Gupta said that the Government is fully committed to provide free education to all the sections of the society but the corporate houses also contribute in many ways through CSR by providing necessary items to the needy students throughout the country.
He congratulated team of the foundation for organising the school shoes distribution programme at Qasim Nagar. Gupta emphasised on involving more and more business houses and encourage funds raising for the noble cause.
School Principal along with staff members brought some problems to the notice of Gupta related to water supply, provision of windows in the existing building and handing over of additional classrooms by the contractor to school so that the students are adjusted in the rooms. Gupta promised that he will be available round the clock for the betterment of the young generation. Hundreds of the people from the surrounding areas attended the function and appreciated the step taken by the Forum.
Cluster Manager, Lakhvinder Singh of the Magic India Bus Foundation elaborated that the organisation has provided 1500 pairs of shoes to the needy students studying in various Government schools in Jammu. He said the foundation is running its program on “Sports for Development” from last three years in Jammu which is sponsored by Nestle India under ‘Nestle Healthy Kids Program’.
The prominent among others who were present in the function on behalf of Magic India Bus Foundation were Lalita Sharma, Zoha Barkat, Neelam Sharma, Deepak Kumar and Amanat Hussain.
