JAMMU, May 27: Speaker of the Assembly and MLA from Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Kavinder Gupta today launched “The Bhagwat Gita” in an impressive function held at Press Club of Jammu.
The function was attended by G.L.N Sinha, Baldev Billoria, Vinay Gupta, Er. Ashwani Khosla, Vijender Dutta, Manvinder Singh in presence of prominent citizens of the area.
The book has many unique features like it is printed with vegetable ink produced from natural ingredients and sourced from Japan, the cloth based cover material is exported from Western Europe and moreover it presents the translation for all the slokas as represented by previous school of thoughts, major ones among them are Adavaita, Visishtadvaita and Dvaita propounded by Adi Shankaracharya, Ramanu-jacharya and Madhavacharya.
Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that we should follow the teachings of “The Bhagwat Gita” and should try to inculcate them in our daily routine and it will give us immense pleasure and also make our life more beautiful and satisfactory. “The Bhagwat Gita” gives us the insight of the struggles of human life, he added.
Lauding the work of the young team who have put in a lot of effort in compiling the book, Gupta said that this book is the ultimate source of spiritual authority to mankind. This book is also going to help the youngsters in understanding the real meaning of the shaloks as it contains point to point translation, he added.
