Kavinder inaugurates painting exhibition

JAMMU, Nov 14: Agrima Malhotra’s painting exhibition titled ‘Inspiration’ was inaugurated at Master Sansar Chand Gallery, Kala Kendra, Jammu today by Speaker of J&K State Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta and MK Wadhera, State Body Artist.
Ajay Pargal, State general secretary, BJYM, and Rekha Mahajan, District vice president BJPMM were the guests of honour, while the special invites were Ishant Gupta, District president BJYM and Ashwani Khosla.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Neeru Abrol.
The organizers present a painting to Kavinder Gupta and also present mementoes and gifts to all guests.
The Exhibition comprising of 40 paintings in different mediums ranging from pencil colours and poster colours was on the theme ‘Krishna’. This is another feather in the cap of Agrima Malhotra, ninth class student of presentation convent senior secondary school, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Through the paintings the child artist reflects on the present day scenario and is based on broadening of feminist issues and practices.
Kavinder Gupta distributed gifts among the junior artists.
Gupta appreciated the talent of junior artists and also the initiative of Agrima Malhotra.
