JAMMU, Sept 18: Taking forward the development activities in Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Speaker State Legislative Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta laid foundation for the up gradation and Black Topping of Comptroller of Defence Accounts road, Satwari which will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 50 Lakhs.
He was accompanied by the VC, Cantonment Board, Jitender Singh Lucky, SDM, South, Shahid Mehmood; Executive Engineer, PWD(R&B), Mohammad Abdullah; Tehsildar South, Johnny Kumar; BDO Satwari, A.K Khajuria; Counsellors Cantonment, Hardev Singh & Bharat Bhushan; AEE, PWD(R&B), Sub Div Belicharana, Suresh Kumar; Vinay Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Baldev Singh Billoria, Pt. Ashok Khajuria, Satpal Chowdhary, Tarsem Chowdhary, Ludramani Sharma, Kulwant Singh Bhatti, Pitamber Sharma, Vikas Sharma, Dr. Happy Singh, Harpal Singh and other prominent citizens of the area.
Gupta lambasted the previous Government for their indifferent attitude towards the residents of this area as they were always neglected by the previous dispensation; Residents of the area expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Speaker for taking up this work on priority.
He said the work on the rest of roads will be executed soon and directed the concerned officers to maintain the quality and ensure the timely completion of all the projects.
Placing high priority to the renovation of roads of the Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Gupta said that all the roads of the area will be made motor able which will benefit them in all aspects and the locals will not have to suffer in future.
Assuring the people he said that every possible step will be taken for the betterment of the people of this Constituency and initiatives are being taken to enhance the quality of their lives.
He asked the people in general and party activists in particular to propagate the agenda of development to every nook and corner of the constituency to aware the masses about the development activities being carried on by the present government and exhorted them to support and strengthen the party.
