JAMMU, May 11: Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta laid foundation of alternate deep drain at Apsara road in presence of Executive Engineer UEED, Rakesh Gupta along with members of Apsara Road Market Association at an estimated cost of 6 lakh approximately which was choked a long time ago and the whole area gets flooded due to the same leading to unhygienic surroundings.
Gupta taking serious note of the hardship being faced by the shopkeepers and customers coming for shopping, took immediate action and directed the concerned department to finish the work at the earliest. He also said that Apsara Road being a business hub of our State need to be upgraded by means of improving parking space by making alternate parking arrangement at Goal Market so that the area can be De-Congested and people can enjoy their shopping as well as other recreational things.
Kavinder Gupta, while interacting with the members of market association assured them every possible help in improving their hygiene and solving their other issues. He said that the Apsara Road can be developed on the pattern of heritage market and he will extend every possible help in doing the same.
President Apsara Road Association, Amit Jandial while speaking on the occasion extended his gratitude on behalf of the association to the Speaker for the timely action. He also said that Kavinder Gupta is their first MLA who is always on his feet to do the public work and redress the grievances of the people without any delay.
In another impressive function thronged by hundreds of workers was attended by Gupta at Gadhi Garh. Workers while welcoming him were very enthusiastic as their long pending demands of development have been taken up on priority basis.
Gupta, while interacting with workers told them that all the roads leading to Gadhi Garh including Airport road, Chatha Road upto SKUAST have been tendered and the work on these roads is going to start soon and will be completed within one or two months and also the ration supply will be increased very soon and it will be distributed on basis of 2011 census. Vinay Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Vikram Randhawa, Indu Bhushan, Surjeet Chowdhary, Rekha Mahajan, Pitamber Sharma, Sippy, Vijay Sarpanch, Ashok Pardan, Bharat Sharma, B R Sharma, Ramesh Gupta, Eishan Dadechi were prominent among others .
