JAMMU, Apr 16: Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta laid foundation stone of Sulabh Complex at Last Morh, Gandhi Nagar, this afternoon.
The Sulabh Complex is being constructed by the Jammu Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs 7.25 lakh.
Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Soujanaya Kumar and senior officers of various departments were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said that the construction of Sulabh complex in the area was a long pending demand of the people which has been fulfilled. He said the area is a commercial hub and the facility would cater to a large number of people. He instructed the executing agencies to complete the complex within timeframe and ensure that the quality material is used in its construction.
While inspecting lanes and drains in the area, the Speaker instructed the authorities to take necessary measures and ensure that the drains are not chocked due to which the people are facing problems.
