Kavinder, Randhawa lay foundation stone of Basketball Court

JAMMU, Jan 27: Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta and MLC Vikram Randhawa along with Councillors Joyti Devi and Neeraj Puri of Ward 53 and 54 respectively laid foundation stone of TNWS Basketball Court at the Railway Road JDA Park East end, Sector 9, Trikuta Nagar, here today.
The money for the project has been released from MLC CDF funds.
Earlier, Rajinder P. Kakkar, President TNWS Jammu welcomed the chief guest, guest of honour and large gathering of Trikuta Nagar residents/members of TNWS.
Dr RN Padha, on the occasion presented the burning issue regarding the free hold rights, while Neeraj Puri presented the details of his meeting with JDA regarding Free hold rights up to date.
He further demanded Skating Rink adjoining Basketball Court to give fillip to sports and games in the area.
Randhawa assured the gathering that he will call the meeting with JDA in the society office at the earliest regarding slash of further rates of the Free hold rights & modalities in favour of the residents of Trikuta Nagar.
He also sanctioned the widening and repairs of pull on the Nallah of Sector 4-5 Trikuta Nagar colony Jammu.
Kavinder Gupta also promised to provide Mini Stadium to Trikuta Nagar colony youth very soon.
Later-on, Er Ashok Kumar Arora, chief patron of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society presented vote of thanks.
