JAMMU, Feb 5: Former Deputy Chief Minister & Senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta, toured Langar area falling in the Gandhi Nagar Legislative Assembly Constituency and listened to the grievances of common masses.
Gupta was accompanied by Vinay Gupta, Councillor, Anil Kumar, (Retd). Capt. Jagmeet Singh and other local party workers. He took stock of the basic amenities in the area. Highlighting the achievements of present dispensation in PWD, PHE and other sectors, Kavinder Gupta apprised that more than700 KM road length has been up-graded, more than 400 transformers and 14000 new electric poles have been installed in Gandhi Nagar Constituency in the past three years.
He said all the already approved works will be executed by the concerned agencies in phased manner. In Health Sector, he said the work in nursing college in Gangyal has been started, besides 200 bedded Maternity Hospitals in Gandhi Nagar is also ready and 100 bedded hospital building in Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Gangyal is also ready. While addressing the gathering present there, Gupta, blamed Congress, NC and PDP for playing with the sentiments of the people and said the Modi Government’s development policy is based on consistency and clarity. Asserting that the Union Government has a very strong development policy, Gupta said it is making a distinction and the State has witnessed a vast inflow of funds for the development projects and “this policy is bearing fruits”. The Union Government and the Governor’s administration are on the same page and they are working to for the overall development of the three regions of the State, he added.
Gupta said that Government has taken several concrete measures to create durable infrastructure to upgrade the living standard of the rural and urban pockets. Gupta said that concerted efforts are being made to develop Gandhi Nagar Constituency on modern lines with basic amenities like better road connectivity, uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, healthcare facilities and better education infrastructure.
He insisted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent a strong message to all functionaries of Government, that every person is accountable, and gone are days, when there used to be percentage of the Commission from the developmental works. He stressed for the utilization of every penny released by the Union Government for the projects. He said we had been successful in getting the approvals for the projects submitted for the administrative approvals within shortest possible time.
