JAMMU, Oct 7: Brigadier Khuda Baksh Memorial Public School (KBPS) in Jammu organized a Child Awareness and Orientation Programme on “Cyber Crime” at the Sahir Ludhianvi Cultural Hall of the Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT) Complex. The event aimed to educate students on online safety, security, and responsible digital behaviour.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by KBPS Principal Nehreer Khan and was attended by prominent figures such as Chairman GDCT Arshad Ali Choudhary, special guest Senior Officer Zulifiqar Ahmed, General Secretary Er Mohd Sadiq Azad, and senior trustees Shouket Javed and Mohd Aslam.
The resource person, Akhil Sen, Sub-Inspector of Police, guided students through key topics such as identifying and reporting cyber threats, safe online browsing habits, social media etiquette, data protection, privacy, and preventing cyberbullying. The initiative sought to equip students with essential skills to safely navigate the digital world and foster responsible digital citizenship. Sumaiya Maryan anchored the event, while Rafia Tabassum presented the vote of thanks.
