KC Gurukul College organizes inter-college symposium

JAMMU, Feb 19: KC Gurukukul College of Education, organized inter college symposium, poster making and slogan writing competitions on the theme “Beti bachao beti padhao” in the College premises, here today.
Prof Ajeet Angral, Principal Govt College of Education was the chief guest on the occasion, while the chairman of the college, Arvind Mahajan, Principal, faculty members, students and participants from various colleges attended the event.
Nearly 13 colleges participated in the event.
Prof Usha Tikku, Principal Sai Shyam College of Education and Yashpal Sharma, Ex. Lecturer, Govt. Girls HSS, Mubarakh Mandi Jammu were the adjudicators of the event.
The function started with lighting of traditional lamp by chief guest followed by Saraswati Vandana.
There were 60 participants from various B.ED colleges which included KC College of education, JK College of education, Sai Shyam College of Education, Adarsh College of education, Luthra College of education, National College of education, MIER College of Education, NSM College of Education, MC Khalsa College of Education, Govt. College of Education, Dogra College of Education and Hill People’s College of Education.
In poster making, Poonam Jamwal and Lovely Sharma from KC Gurukul College of Education, Shweta Gupta and Pallavi Seth from MC Khalsa College of Education and Stanzin Choron and Stanzin Spaldon form Sai Shyam College of Education clinched first, second and third prizes respectively.
In slogan writing, Ruby Menia and Radha Rani from KC Gurukul College of Education, Kamaljeet Kour from MC Khalsa College of Education and Priyanka Sharma and Anuradha from National College of Education were given first, second and third prizes respectively, while in symposium Komal Kotwal from Government College of Education, Neha Choudhary from MC Khalsa College of Education and Nidhi Sharma from KC Gurukul College of Education bagged first, second and third prizes respectively.
The chief guest, Prof Angral, presented trophies to winners and also distributed certificates of merit among the participants.
Anubha Munshi, Principal of the College highlighted the importance of girl child in the society.
