JAMMU, Dec 14: KC Gurukul Public School celebrated its Annual Day and Prize Distribution function with pomp and show at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium University of Jammu, here.
Dilbag Singh, MD, J&K Police Housing Corporation, graced the occasion as the chief guest, who was given a cordial welcome by the school management, staff and the students.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Soujanya Sharma, Director Information, J&K Govt, and Kiran Wattal, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu.
The chief guest inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp.
The function began with the invocation of Lord Ganesha.
Academic Director of the school, Vijay Puri presented welcome address, wherein she said that KC Gurukul Schools are committed for quality added value education and management strives to make its students the proud citizens of the nation.
The Annual report of the School was read by the senior coordinator Neera Dogra while Anju Razdan officiating Head Mistress read the Annual report of KC Playway BC Road to elucidate the achievements and update the parents and gathering about the academic excellence attained by the students as well as in sports and co curricular front.
The cultural Bonanza titled as “Sanskrit!” kept the audience spell bound. Tiny tots presentation through the patriotic feats like “yeh desh hai veer jawano ka”, “Bande hain hum uske” and” Jeena Yahan marna yahan” was not only mesmerizing but also full of zeal and enthusiasm which infused the feeling, temper and spirits of the complete audience with a proud feeling of being the part of Gurukul.
The School Head Boy’s message to the parents was not only naive but also an eye-opener for the parents to know the school further well. English play ‘Dear departed’ enthralled the audience. Assamese made everyone spellbound with the nimble footed movements.
The overall Championship was bagged by “Subash Chander Bose House” leaded by Jyoti Kumari and Urmeela Bhan.
Arvind Mahajan, chairman of the school presented the vote of thanks.
