UDHAMPUR, Sept 12: To felicitate its School Council Members, KC Gurukul Public School Udhampur, organized an Investiture ceremony in School premises, here today.
The ceremony was a testimony to the democratic way of KCGPS council election, in which all the students exercised their right to vote.
The ceremony was presided over by IGP Farooq Khan, Director Police Academy Udhampur, while the School Chairman Anil Mahajan and Academic Director Vijay Puri were the guests of honour.
The programme began with a prayer, which was followed by a group song, a dance performance and a short skit.
Then the oath taking ceremony took place, wherein the School Council Members pledged to execute their responsibilities with dedication, dignity and honour.
Chief guest, Farooq Khan lauded the efforts of the School Management and the staff in running the institution based on the traditional values and doctrines of gurukul in the modern era.
