KC Gurukul organizes Investiture Ceremony

JAMMU, May 27: The Investiture Ceremony of KC Gurukul Public School Paloura Jammu for the Academic Session 2014-15 was held in the school premises, here today.
The newly elected council pledged to take the school to zenith of new achievements and to uphold the values of Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty and Dignity.
IGP, J P Singh was the chief guest on this occasion.
The ceremony began with the lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest and the chairman of the School, Arvind Mahajan.
The chief guest conferred the elected students of prefectorial body with the Sachets and Badges.
The prefectorial body included Head Boy, Tarun Sharma of Class XII-A and Head Girl, Aditi Singh of class XII-B, Shubham Singh Manhas as Vice Head Boy and Vaishali Manhas as Vice Head Girl, Vikrant Manhas as Sports Boy and Shieta Khanna as Sports Girl.
Besides, four house Captains and Vice-Captains were also given respective Sachets and Badges by the chief guest.
A short cultural programme was also presented on this occasion which began with beautiful Ganesh Vandana, followed by exotic dance performance by junior wing that mesmerized the audience with hypnotic beats.
The chief guest in his speech complimented the students and teachers for their concerted efforts in curricular and co- curricular activities and advised the young learners to aspire and achieve and bear the quest for knowledge.
Academic Director, Vijay Puri congratulated the newly appointees for getting coveted positions on the school council and encouraged them to be young leaders who could enable the school to have a productive disciplined learning environment and carrying the name of KC Gurukul Public School to greater heights.
The function concluded with singing of community song.
