Udhampur, Dec 29: KC Gurukul Public School, Jakhar, Udhampur organized its Annual Sports Day with pomp and show in its School premises, here today.
Pawan Gupta, MLA Udhampur was the chief guest on the occasion, while Ravinder Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur was the guest of honour.
Harendra Kumar (Commandant 187 Battalion CRPF, Udhampur), Randheer Singh SSP (Sher-e Kashmir Police Academy) and SSP Udhampur Rayees Mohd Bhat were the special guests. The function started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, Guests of honour and other dignitaries.
This was followed by Ganesh Vandhna by the Students of KCGPS. The theme of the function was “Bambino’s Ecstatic Journey to Zenith with ‘Rhapsody’. The students participated in various events like Yoga, Sprint race, Butterfly dance, ring dance and relay races.
The Parents participated in games like “Tug of War”. The Annual report of the School was presented by Principal of KCGPS, Sagar Banerjee in which he highlighted the achievements of KCGPS for the Session 2017-2018.
All the students of the School participated with enthusiasm and fervor. The Prizes were distributed among the students who had shown excellence in different areas in Games and Sports.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lavished praise on the students and encouraged them for their bright future.
He distributed trophies and certificates among the students on the occasion. The vote of thanks was presented by Anil Mahajan (Chairman of KCGPS).
Prominent among others who attended the function were Shray Mahajan (Executive Director of KCGPS), Arvind Mahajan, Rahil Gupta (Vice Chairman of District Sports Council Udhampur), Karan Singh (Joint Managing Director of Devika Huandai), Abhimanyu, Sonali, Chopra and Rajguru (Member of District Sports Council).
