UDHAMPUR, Nov 6: Students of KC Gurukul Public School, Jakhar brought laurels to the school by winning medals in various District Level Inter-School Competitions organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports.
In Inter School Open Skating Competition, Manik claimed medal in 30 meter, whereas, in 200 meter, Zubair, Muskaan Anmol Kashyap, Harshit Kaith, Gagan Singh, Rajveer Singh won gold medals, Harshit Kaith, Adeswar, Vansh bagged silver medals and Madhav, Ayushi, Naman, Yuvraj, Aryan, Aparsh, Pranav, Abhinandan, Aryan Gupta and Sughant Bansal claimed bronze medals.
In 100×4 meter relay race, Akash Manhas, Ritik Anand, Vansh and Madhav claimed silver medals.
In Inter School Athletic meet, students claimed medals in various events.
In under 14 category, Ritvik Paul won gold medal in Discuss throw, Akshat and Rahil Baria claimed silver medals in high jump, Gagandeep, Vinay, Munish, Kanveer secured bronze medals in 100 meter race.
In under 17 category, Gaurav Sharma bagged gold medal in Long Jump and Vinay secured bronze medal in 800 meter.
In Football, KCPS team comprising of Vasu Bhan, Rohit Kotwal, Sumit Sharma, Kanwal Nain Singh and Shubham Kumar claimed silver medal by thrashing Rajouri team by three goals to zero (3-0) at GGM Science College ground.
The Chairman of school, Anil Mahajan, congratulated the medal winners and impressed upon them to participate in more and more sports activities for the overall development of the body.
