KC International School celebrates its 8th Annual Day

JAMMU, Dec 27: The 8th Annual Day of KC International School, namely ‘Spark 2014’, was organized by the institution at Gen Zorawar Singh Auditorium, here today.
The programme, which began on December 26 and concluded today, was a showcase of talents of the students and hard work of staff. Both wings of the School-Junior and Senior participated in the programme.
Shantmanu, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, while Padamshree Balwant Thakur, Basant Kumar Rath, DIG Home Guard Jammu and Danish Rana, Director SKPAU were the guests of honour.
The theme for junior wing was “Learning Right Future Bright”, wherein the tiny tots showcased all good things they learn in School.
Apart from array of skits and dances, the little kids also conveyed the message of “Save Earth”.
The Seniors today took the audience on a journey in past and told the “Saga of Civilization”.
The programme portrayed the origin of earth through Shiv Tandav and five elements of earth.
The major civilizations like Egyptian, Roman, The Cholas and The Indus Valley was depicted through dance, drama and tableau.
The highlight of the event was the drama “Julius Caesar” and “Akbar the Great”.
Prize distribution ceremony was also organized in which the meritorious students were given prizes.
Neelam Dadwal and Sangeeta Gupta were given the best teacher award, while Neelam Jasrotia, Priyanka Choudhary, Reena Sharma, Rajni Malhotra and Shiffali Bhakhri were awarded prizes for the cleanest class. The programme was conceptualized by Kesar Patel, Neetu Singh, Coordinators and Madhu Abrol, Activity Coordinator of K C International School.
During the award giving ceremony not only academic achievers were felicitated for their academic and co curricular activity but even the staff were given recognition for the teaching and dedicated service to the elite institute.
The annual school report was presented by the Principal, Dr Ravi Bhusan. He summed up the achievements of past one during his annual report and also gave a preview to next year road map.
The Vice Chairman, Chaitanaya Chowdhary presented the vote of thanks and threw light on the future ventures which the School would be taking up in coming years.
The gathering also paid rich tribute to Late Shubra Kapoor, ex faculty member, KCIS.
