JAMMU, Feb 13: KC International School celebrated its Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm, showcasing the athletic talent and teamwork of its students.
The event was graced by Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Arvind Gupta, who was the chief guest on the occasion while other guests were Kuldeep Handoo, Anissa Nabbi, Colonel Muneesh Jasrotia, Sumeet Sharma, Chaitanya Chowdhary and Principal Anupama Sinha.
The inauguration ceremony featured the release of balloons and pigeons, symbolizing unity and the competitive spirit of the students. This was followed by a welcome dance, torch lighting and an oath-taking ceremony, setting the stage for the sports events. The march past, with students from different houses-Ruby, Emerald, Topaz and Sapphire-was a highlight, demonstrating perfect synchronization and discipline.
The younger students participated in fun events such as Bunny races, Hurdle races and the Frog race, while middle and senior students competed in 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m Relay Races. The tug-of-war event involving teachers and parents added to the excitement. Topaz House emerged as the winner, with Ruby and Sapphire Houses securing second and third positions, respectively. Gupta, praised the students’ performances and encouraged them to continue pursuing their passions.
