JAMMU, Feb 19: 3rd J&K Petanque Championship was organized by J&K Petanque Association and hosted by KC International School, here.
Around 150 to 200 students of Districts of Kargil, Udhampur, Srinagar, Kathua, Reasi and Jammu participated in the Championship.
The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, Kavinder Gupta Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly and guest of honour, Maya Mishra, Principal of KCIS.
The event was organized by Tarsem Sharma, coach and also general secretary, J&K Petanque Association.
The students were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals in their respective categories.
Jammu District was declared as overall winner, whereas Reasi and Srinagar districts won 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
Chaitanya Chowdhary, vice chairman of KCIS and president of J&K Petanque Association lauded the efforts of the students and their coaches.
