KC International sweeps ‘Sur Sangam 2012’ prizes

JAMMU, Nov 3: KC International School emerged winner in all three categories of solo, senior and junior in the 7th Inter-School Music Competition ‘Sur Sangam 2012’, which was held at KC International School, here today.
GR Bhagat, former Secretary, Planning and Development was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Harish Kalia, Anupama Sharma, Romila Guleria, Brij Mohan and Ravi Sharma were the adjudicators of the event.
Earlier, the students of the KCIS welcomed the delegation with a Saraswati Vandana, a floral tribute and dance.
KCIS bagged the Solo category trophy, while Delhi Public School claimed the runners-up trophy in this event. JK Public School claimed the consolation prize.
In Senior Category, KCIS and DPS Jammu claimed the winners and runners-up trophy respectively and Heritage School won the Consolation prize, while in Junior Category, KCIS and DPS Jammu claimed the first two prizes respectively, while BSF School Paloura claimed Consolation prize.
The event was officiated and compeered by Madhu Abrol and Arti Sharma respectively.
Senior Vice Chairperson, Saroj Mahajan, Principal, Harender Chakhiyar, Vice Principal, Nirmal Mahna and Headmistress, Mamta Chopra were present on the occasion.
