JAMMU, Dec 1: JAMMU, Dec 1: KC Public School celebrated its 26th Annual Function at the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu University here today, marking another milestone in its legacy of providing quality education.
The event was graced by Minister for Youth Services and Sports (YS&S), Satish Sharma, as the chief guest, while Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of the J&K National Conference Jammu, attended as the guest of honour.
The function commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries, followed by a welcome address by school Principal, AK Mishra. The cultural program began with a musical composition titled ‘Never Give Up,’ performed by the school’s choir and orchestra group, setting the tone for the event. Senior school students then presented an invocation dance, ‘Shri Ram Stuti.’
After reports by the Students’ Council on academic, sports, and co-curricular achievements, the chief guest distributed awards to outstanding students. The function also recognized 16 alumni of KC Public School, who have made notable contributions in their respective fields.
In his address, Chairman Raju Chowdhary outlined the school’s mission to maintain its tradition of excellence in education and commitment to student development. He emphasized the school’s progress since its inception in 1997.
The chief guest appreciated the school’s contribution to shaping successful careers and offering quality education to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. The event concluded with a spectacular dance-drama, ‘Chanakya,’ presented by students from both senior and junior wings, leaving the audience in awe.
Reflecting on the impact of KC Public School, alumni shared heartfelt memories: Arushi Sabarwal, (Presently posted as Tehsildar in Udhampur), remarked, “The school played a crucial role in my life by providing holistic development. Everything I’ve learned and the qualities I possess, I owe to KC Public School.”
Kumud Goel shared, “We don’t realize the importance of school at the time, but as we grow, we understand its true value.”
Aarohi Kapoor, another alumnus, expressed, “KC Public School is special to me because I found my life partner here.” Pawan Pratap Singh, added, “KC Public School offered immense support when I switched from the state board, especially in my 12th class. It’s even more special because I found my life partner here.”
