JAMMU, Sept 1: KC Public School (KCPS) organized a function in the general hall of KC Sports Club, here today.
It was a ceremonial occasion when elected representatives of the School Students’ Council for the academic year 2023-24 were given their badges and insignias of authority.
Colonel Rahul Agarwal graced the occasion as chief guest and Major Raghav Khajuria was guest of honour. Silvi Agarwal, wife of the chief guest also lent charm to the ceremony with her presence.
The ceremony commenced with the singing of the school song by the school choir group. It was followed by ceremonial march-in by all the office bearers of the Students’ Council constituted of school and House level appointments.
After the march-in, School Principal Amarendra Kumar Mishra administered a collective oath to all office bearers, laying particular stress on the elements of honesty, sincerity and commitment in performing their leadership roles. The ceremonial proceedings concluded with bestowal of badges and other insignia of authority on the members of the Council by the invited special guests.
The chief guest, in his address, expressed his delight at being present on the occasion and lauded the school for setting up very high standards of excellence in education by integrating the educational ideology of Kurt Hahn with the comprehensive school curriculum.
The function concluded with vote of thanks by the Vice Principal.
