JAMMU, Jan 27: In the wake of the celebrations of Republic Day in the country on January 26, students of both senior and junior wings of KC Public School joined hands in celebrating the spirit of oneness of India despite the vast scale of her diversity through a special function conducted on the large outdoor stage located in the sports complex of the school.
The programme on the occasion consisted of a variety of activities that focused on the theme of ‘Unity in Diversity’ of India.
The programme began with the group recitation of a highly inspirational poem of Dr. Harivansh Rai Bacchhan by the children of Class 2nd. It was followed by a mellifluous group song presented by the students of the senior school.
Sahar Rohmetra of Class 9th recited a poem related to the theme of oneness of India which was sung out next by the choir group of the junior school. The programme concluded with well choreographed dance movement ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ presented by the students of both junior and senior wings of the school. The programme was well hosted by Sahar Rohmetra and Ribhav Mittal.
In his address to the students on the occasion, Academic Director of the school, Dr Ram Thakur underscored the need for infinite patience and tolerance to sustain the integrity of a democratic nation like India.
He advised the students to develop a deep understanding of the diversity of India and take pride in being the citizens of a great nation.
