JAMMU, Nov 29: Nimble Feet Fitness Fest at Junior Wing of KC Public School was a celebration of vibrant synergy and a grand display of skills in physical coordination, agility and vitality.
The chief guest on the occasion was Kanta Devi Rakwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.
School Principal Amarendra Mishra presented the welcome address and said that KC Public School aims to inspire and draw out every child’s capacity for self-discovery, personal development, achievement and excellence, with an approach that is practical, cross-cultural and collaborative. Every student is valued and assisted to cultivate attitudes and skills that contribute towards global citizenship, he added.
The Fest commenced with an invocation to Lord Ganesha with a beautifully choreographed dance movements that were graceful and supple.
It was followed by a March Past. Holding the school flag and the house flags, the contingents impressed the audience with well-coordinated steps and vigour exhibiting unity and discipline. An array of well-rehearsed items comprising of PT display, Australian dance drill, Zumba, Yoga, Taekwondo, Skating and Peace Dance received thunderous applause. The highlight of the programme was a dance on peace.
The entire show was anchored by the students who exuded great confidence.
The grand finale with an inspirational song, ‘We will rise above’ brought forth the message of love, faith and unity.
The colourful costumes, exuberant performances, aesthetic decor and meticulous organization impressed everyone.
Addressing the audience, Kanta Devi Rakwal spoke at length about how sports are imperative for health and happiness.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.
