JAMMU, Apr 17: K C Public School defeated GD Goenka Public School by (3-0) to lift the Table Tennis Under-14 boys tile in the ongoing District Level Inter School Tournaments in the disciplines of Table Tennis, Chess, Badminton and Carrom at Indoor Complex M.A. Stadium and Badminton Hall BSF Paloura.
Jai outplayed Sawan by 11-8, 11-9, 11-9; Hanumant beat Aryan by 11-6,11-8,11-5 and Sudikshan drubbed Ojaswin 11-8,11-9,05-11,11-9.
In all, 150 girls drawn from various institutions of District Jammu are taking part in the competitions.
In Badminton Under-14 girls, APS Miran Sahib beat APS Sunjwan by 2-0; Presentation Convent trounced MIER by 2-0; DPS beat Heritage by 2-0 and KC Public got better of Govt. HS Sangrampur by 2-0.
In Badminton Under-17 girls, APS Domana drubbed APS Miran Sahib by 2-0; MIER beat DPM Convent Ratnal by 2-0 and Carmal Convent beat Haritage by 2-0.
In Carrom Under-17 girls, Govt.MS Raipur got better of Govt. MS Gujjar Nagar by 17-7; Carmel Convent beat Govt. HS Bazar Qusaban by 17-7; Govt. HS Gole Gujral defeated Model Academy by 15-9 and Govt. HS Sangram beat SOS by 16-8.
In Chess Under-14 girls semifinal, Arushi Kotwal of BSF school Paloura beat Isha Bhat APS Miran Sahib; Avni Gupta of Heritage beat Rashi Anthan of BSF school Paloura.
In Chess Under-14 boys final, Sohan Kamotra (DPS) defeated Sohan Gupta (Jodhamal) by 2-1, while in Chess Under-17 boys final, Yaksh Chopra (Heritage) beat Kanav Gupta (APS Kalu Chak) by 2-1 games.
