JAMMU, Apr 30: KC Sports Club and Hussain Cricket Club registered convincing wins over their rivals in the ongoing 2nd Holi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament at Mandal Cricket ground, here.
In the first match, KC Sports Club defeated Wave Cricket Club by 7 wickets.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Wave Cricket Club scored 169 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Charanjeet Singh (21) and Babloo (21) were the main scorers. Ajay, Rohan Koul and Abhishant Bakshi bagged 2 wickets for KC Sports Club, while Vivek claimed one.
In reply, KC Sports Club chased the target in 14.1 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Abhishant Bakshi was the top scorer with 43 runs, while Arjun Choudhary contributed power-packed 34 runs and Atif contributed 31 runs. For Wave Club, Rahul took 2 wickets, while Balbir Singh claimed one. Abhishant Bakshi was declared as man of the match for his all-round show.
In another match, Hussain Cricket Club defeated RS Pura Cricket Club by 98 runs. Batting first Hussain Club scored a mammoth total of 210 runs. Kaka, Sahil and Harjot scored 42, 35 and 31 runs respectively. Rajnish took 3 wickets, while Vipin and Vinod claimed 2 wickets each for RS Pura Club.
RS Pura Cricket Club bundled out for 112 runs to lose the match by 98 runs. Mohni and Ravi were the main scorers with 36 and 18 runs respectively. Ravi took 4 important wickets for Hussain Cricket Club, while Kaka claimed 2. Kaka was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Sachin Singh, Vicky, Ravinder Singh and Raj Kumar, while the Tournament is being organized by Mukesh Sharma, Sachin Singh and Sunil Kumar, under the chairmanship of Ankush Abrol, Member BCCI.
