KCCC drubs NCC to enter semis as Bandral scalps 6 wkts

JAMMU, Apr 16: Formidable and star-studded Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) defeated strong National Cricket Club (NCC) by 21 runs to enter into the semifinals of the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Tawi Sports Club at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, KCCC scored a good total of 178 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Ram Dayal top scored with 43 runs, while Bandeep Singh and Vimarsh Kaw contributed 37 and 32 runs to the total respectively. For NCC, Vijay Dogra was the pick of the bowlers, who took 3 wickets, while Pranav Mahajan and Inderjeet Singh claimed 2 and one wicket respectively.
In reply, NCC managed to score 157 runs by losing all the wickets, thus lost the match by a margin of 21 runs.  Deepak Singh Manhas top scored with 39 runs, while Vijay Dogra contributed 38 runs to the toal and Manish Dogra chipped in with 22 runs. Ankush Bandral was the wrecker-in-chief for KCCC, who captured 6 important wickets, while Sahil Lotra bagged 2 wickets and Raman Dutta claimed one.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Rajinder Singh and Sanju.
KC Sports Club will take on RCC Srinagar on April 18 at 9 am, while JCC will lock-horns with NMCC at 12 noon on the same date.
