JAMMU, Nov 4: KC International School (KCIS) organized an exhilarating Inter School Junior Soccer Challenge to foster sportsmanship, teamwork and athleticism among young students from various schools.
Dr Vinod Kumar (SSP Jammu) graced the occasion as chief guest whereas Narinder Gupta (former president, J&K Football Association), Chaitanya Chowdhary (president, KCIS) and Anupama Sinha (Principal KCIS) were the guests of honour. Vishal Sood (Deputy SP Jammu) and Kunal Singh Jamwal (SHO Domana) were the special guests on the occasion.
The Tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 10 leading schools of Jammu namely KC International School, DPS Nagbani, GD Goenka Public School, Doon International School, Jammu Sanskriti, Jammu, APS BD Bari, KC Public School, SGSD International, APS Kaluchak and APS Miran Sahib.
The first semi final match was played between today GD Goenka Public School and APS BD Bari in which the former emerged victorious by 1-0. The second semi-final match was played between Doon International and KC International School. The match was won by Doon International School by 3-0.
The final match was played between Doon International School and GD Goenka in which Doon International emerged winner by 2-0. Hence the Doon International School won the trophy and GD Goenka Public School secured the runner up trophy.
The winners were honoured by the chief guest, guest of honour and the Principal KCIS.
