JAMMU, Oct 14: KC International School (KCIS) today hosted an Inter School Swimming Competition in its school premises.
A number of reputed schools from all over Jammu like DPS and Banyan International School participated in the competition.
Near about 65 students participated in 22 categories like freestyle 100/50 meter, breast stroke, back stroke, medleyx50 meters, relay, etc in all age group categories. All the events were played under three categories Under-15, Under-14 and Under-12.
Principal, KCIS, Dr Ravi Bhushan, declared the event open by giving clap to the first event of the day.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma from Recognition and Affiliation Committee of Indian Olympic Association, was the chief guest while Kanchan Bala, Deputy Director, Youth Service and Sports, J&K, was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, both chief guest and guest of honour lauded the performance of the participants. They also appreciated the role of school management for their active role in providing such platform to the students.
The winner’s trophy was claimed by KCIS while the trophies for 1st Runners-up and 2nd Runners-up were won by Delhi Public School and Banyan International School, respectively.
