JAMMU, Nov 29: KC International School, Jammu, organized the third edition of its annual marathon, ‘KCITHON’ 2024 – A Run for Health. The event, aimed at promoting fitness and sportsmanship, saw over 200 enthusiastic participants, including students, teachers and parents, competing across multiple age categories.
The marathon, which commenced at 9:30 am, was graced by chief guest Manav Gupta, Finance Advisor/CAO in the Home Department, and guests of honour Vikas Gupta, Inspector in the Sericulture Department, and Chaitanya Chowdhary, President of KCIS.
The race was flagged off by the school Principal, Anupama Sinha, who expressed her excitement at the large turnout and emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
The event saw participants competing with great zeal and determination. In the Sub-Junior category, Atif Sheikh emerged as the winner, followed by Mridun and Vedant Bahubali. The Junior category witnessed Haridaan Sharma securing the first position, with Vyom Jain and Samrat Aryan claiming second and third places, respectively. In the Sub-Senior category, Divyansh Gandotra clinched the top prize, while Chinmey Sundeep Bhat and Nalin Pandita took the second and third spots. The senior category saw Sujal Satish as the winner, with Aarav Sharma and Heman Nagota taking second and third positions.
The event also included a special category for teachers and parents, where Jagmohan emerged victorious, followed by Lt. Col. Inderjeet Singh and Shubam Tak. The event culminated with a prize distribution ceremony, where the winners were honoured for their achievements.
