JAMMU, Oct 26: KC International School hosted an engaging CBSE workshop focused on “Educating Parents about Education,” aimed at enlightening parents on their vital role in their children’s academic and personal growth. The workshop was graced by distinguished educators, Arindam Roy Choudhury, Principal of GD Goenka Public School, and Dr. Atul Hans, Principal of IDRS, both bringing vast experience and insights. Principal Anupama Sinha opened the session with a warm welcome, presenting the speakers with saplings as symbols of growth, appreciation, and commitment to learning.
The workshop emphasized the transformative changes in today’s educational landscape, from traditional rote learning to skill-based, student-cantered approaches. It also introduced a psychological dimension, encouraging parents to be attuned to their children’s mental and emotional well-being. The session stressed that a collaborative approach—uniting parents, teachers, and students—is essential for fostering holistic development, helping students discover their unique strengths and areas of improvement.
Throughout the session, the resource persons highlighted the importance of parental understanding of modern education and active engagement in their children’s learning journey. Parents responded enthusiastically, expressing appreciation for the opportunity to learn from seasoned educators.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sinha, who acknowledged the speakers and attendees for their participation and support.
