KCPS holds Round Square Int’l Sports Collaboration event

JAMMU, Oct 5: The Round Square International Sports Collaboration 2.0 commenced at KC Public School, here today. This non-competitive event will take place from October 5 to 7 and aims to foster internationalism, cultural diversity, and team spirit through sports. The first edition in 2023 was hosted by Round Square Schools in Japan, Kenya, Bangladesh and India.
The opening ceremony, held at KC Sports Club, was attended by chief guest Anand Jain, ADGP Jammu, alongside key dignitaries including Arjun Chowdhary, Vice Chairman, Arti Chowdhary, Managing Director, and Siddhant Chowdhary of KC Educational Society. The event began with the ceremonial lamp lighting and a flag march by participating schools: Sai International Residential School (Odisha), Welham Girls’ School (Dehradun), and KC Public School (Jammu). A cultural performance by KCPS students featuring an invocation dance dedicated to Lord Ganesha and group songs celebrating cultural diversity further enriched the event.
In his address, chief guest, Anand Jain highlighted the role of sports in character building and commended KCPS for hosting this significant international collaboration. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks from Principal Amarendra Kumar Mishra.
