JAMMU, Apr 20: KC Public School (KCPS) initiated ‘Inspiration Talks Series’ at General Hall of KC Sports Club wherein former DGP (Prisons), J&K-VK Singh addressed the class 12th students, here today.
The first lecture series under ‘Inspiration Talks Series’ was initiated by the School after prolonged closure of the School due to COVID-19.
VK Singh, a Marine Engineer by qualification and a highly decorated IPS officer, is an ardent promoter of human welfare and well-being and has contributed significantly to the cause of prison reforms in J&K. He delivered an interactive talk to KCPS students on ‘Boost Your Resilience’ theme interspersing it with demos with objects, PowerPoint presentation, question-answer session and narration of anecdotes from his personal experiences as a high profile Police officer.
Laying specific stress on psycho-emotional problems caused by two years long Covid-19 induced shut-down, he pinpointed key factors helpful in coping with the stress and trauma caused by the pandemic. He indicated the significance and relevance of stress-busters such as social connectedness, positive attitude, optimism and so on to liberate their minds from undue anxieties.
Students of KC Paryavaran Sadan presented a plant to the speaker in appreciation of his valuable talk on an important contemporary problem.
Principal AK Mishra expressed gratitude to VK Singh for giving an exemplary and highly inspiring talk to the senior students.
