JAMMU, Dec 7: To hone the communication skills of students through theatre, KCS College of Education (Women), staged a play on ‘Women’s Issues’ in its Amphitheatre, here today.
The play was directed and produced by Naveen Chopra, a renowned dramatist and a Consultant Advisor on ‘Communication skills’ & ‘Counselling’.
The students of the College through their artistic and effective skills mesmerized the audience. Through their performances, the students highlighted various social evils such as ‘discrimination against women’, ‘domestic violence’, and ‘female foeticide’ etc and conveyed it strongly to the audience that such acts of gender discrimination are unnatural and need our urgent attention. The power packed performance by the students left the audience spell bound.
Prominent among the audience were  U S  Chaudhri, president Kalamkari Centre Society,  Purnima Chaudhri, chairperson of the College, Prof   Romesh Verma, HoD Education, Dr  Ashok Pandita, Associate Professor,  Prof O  P  Sharma, Principal of the College, parents of the students, faculty, alumni  and students of the College.
