KCSC Seniors, KCCC seal berth in QFs

JAMMU, July 15: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in their respective matches today, KC Sports Club Seniors and Kishen Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) sealed berth in the quarterfinals of the ongoing KC Sports Club T20 Cricket Cup,. being played at KC School ground, here.
In the first match played today, KCCC defeated Whites Cricket Club by 45 runs.
Winning the toss and batting first, KCCC scored a fighting total of 137 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Ramdayal, Manik Gupta, Bandeep Singh and Sahil Lotra contributed 31, 28, 23 and 22 runs tot the total respectively. Raman Thaploo also chipped in with unbeaten 8 runs. From WCC, Rajesh Raina was the pick of the bowlers, who took 2 wickets, while Deepak and Ranjeet shared 1 wicket each.
While chasing the target, WCC Collapsed at 92 runs in 17.5 overs. Ranjeet top scored with 44 runs, while Mohit and Rohit chipped in with 11 and 9 runs respectively. From KCCC, skipper Manik Gupta was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 4 important wickets, while youngster Dhruv Parmar took 3 wickets. Vishal also took 2 wickets and Jugjap claimed one. Manik Gupta of KCCC was declared as the man of the match.
The second match was played between KCSC Seniors and Friends Cricket Club.
KCSC won the toss and decided to bat first.
KCSC Seniors made a decent total of 161 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Sahil Bhalwal scored magnificent unbeaten 61 runs, while Ateev Saini and Atul Choudhary contributed 22 and 16 runs respectively. Abhishek took 2 wickets from Friends Cricket Club.
While chasing the target, FCC bundled out at 105 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets, thus lost the match by 56 runs. From KCSC, Vijay Dogra took 3 wickets, while Chitra Jamwal took 2 wickets. Sahil Bhalwal of KCSC Seniors was declared as the man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Madan Lal as umpires, while Vinod Kandayara was the scorer.
