Police Martyr’s Memorial T-20 Cricket Tourney

KATHUA, Dec 27: KDCA and Vicky XI Pathankot won their respective matches today on 9th day of the ongoing 11th Police Martyr’s Memorial North Zone T-20 Cricket Championship, being held at Sports Stadium, here.
First match was played in morning session between KDCA and SPJ Gurgaon. KDCA won the toss and chose to bat first. Batting first, it scored just 78 runs in 15 overs at the loss of 7 wickets. The main scorer of the team was Anuj who scored 22 runs in 21 balls with 4 boundaries while Ricky scored 13 runs off 12 balls with 2 boundaries.
In reply, SPJ Gurgaon easily chased down the given target in just 6.1 overs with the loss of 1 wicket. In this way, SPJ Gurgaon won the match by 9 wickets and top most wicket taker of the team was Ankit Choudhary who had brilliant bowling spell of 3 overs in which he took 3 main wickets while giving 11 runs only for which he was declared as Man of the Match.
Second match was played between Vicky XI Pathankot and Krishnam XI Amritsar. Vicky XI Pathankot won the toss and chose to bat first. Batting first, Vicky XI put 131 runs on scoreboard at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. The main scorer of the team was Puneet who made 24 runs in 16 deliveries with 3 boundaries and 1 six while Rahil scored 16 runs in 13 balls with 1 six.
In reply, Krishanam XI Amritsar could not chase the given target bowled out in 19.3 overs at a score of 86 runs. Thus, Vicky XI Pathankot thrashed Krishanam XI Amritsar by 45 runs. Top most wicket taker was Surinder Sandhu who did splendid bowling spell of 4 overs in which he take 2 crucial wickets by giving 13 runs only for which he was declared as Man of the Match.
