Srinagar, Nov 21 : Khalsa Blue Srinagar today lifted the trophy at the final match of the Prof Abrar Hassan Hockey tournament (Men) by beating Baramullah Bikram Club 1-0.
The tournament organized by Directorate of Physical Education and Sports Kashmir University was played at Kashmir University grounds, here .
Registrar University Of Kashmir, Prof Zafar A Reshi who was the chief guest on the occasion, also awarded trophies to the winning team members.
“We had a great tradition of hockey here , but the trend is declining”, said Prof Reshi while congratulating Director for creating facilities at KU for its revival .
Prof Bashir Ahmad Khan, Director Sports KU, Prof Nisar Ahmad, chairman Campus Sports, Abid Qadri PS to registrar, were present on the occasion.
Showkat Shafi, Assistant Dean Students Welfare and PRO was felicitated on the occasion .
Director Sports, Prof Bashir Ahmad Khan presented welcome address and vote of thanks on the occasion.
