JAMMU, Apr 1: Khalsa Cricket Club defeated Evershine Cricket Club by 28 runs to advance into the next round of the ongoing Holi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Sachin Singh, Mukesh Sharma and Sunil Singh at Mandal cricket ground, here.
Khalsa Club scored a decent total of 173 runs in 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Harjinder Pal Singh top scored with 48 runs, while Vivek and Vishal contributed 24 and 22 runs respectively. For Evershine Club, Gagandeep Singh, Narinder and Dany took 2 wickets each.
Evershine Cricket Club, in reply managed to score 145 runs in the allotted 20 overs, thus lost the match by 28 runs. Bawa top scored with 47 runs, while Ajay and Prithpal Singh contributed 26 and 10 runs respectively. For Khalsa Club, Vickey took 4 important wickets, while Nittin and Harjinder Pal Singh claimed one wicket each.
The match was officiated by Bablu and Varinder Singh as umpires, while Tejinder Pal Singh was the scorer and Sohan Bharti did the commentary.
