Khalsa Club, UCC Jammu script convincing wins

JAMMU, Dec 8: Khalsa Cricket Club, Gole Gujral Jammu and UCC Jammu registered emphatic wins over their rivals in the ongoing 11th Bachhiter Singh Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Welfare Society Simbal Camp at Government High School, Simbal Camp here.
Earlier, in the first match, Khalsa Club defeated MCC Miran Sahib by 69 runs.
Batting first, Khalsa scored a mammoth total of 210 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Babneet, Mohit and Lakhan scored 49, 48 and 42 runs respectively. For Miran Sahib, Bunty was the pick of the bowlers, who claimed 4 wickets, while Sachin bagged 2 and Amit one.
In reply, Miran Sahib bundled out for 142 runs in 19.5 overs. Lakhan was the top scorer with 67 runs, while Bunty and Sachin contributed 23 and 20 runs to the total respectively. For Khalsa Club, Nitin and Sonu took 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Lakhan was adjudged man of the match.
In another match, UCC drubbed Nagbani Club by 82 runs. UCC Scored 164 runs in allotted 20 overs, with Aman, Sahil, Gulshan and Irpreet contributing 44, 22, 20 and 20 runs to the total respectively. For Nagbani, Vishal took 3 wickets, while Neel Sagar claimed 2.
Nagbani Club collapsed at 82 runs in 19 overs, thus lost the match by 82 runs. Arjun Sharma and Sanchit contributed 43 and 22 runs to the total respectively. For UCC, Aman, Danny and Rinku claimed 2 wickets each. Aman was declared man of the match.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh and SS Bablu as umpires, while Mr Ginni was the scorer. The tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Amarjeet Singh Bittu, president Manzoor Union, Simbal Camp.
