JAMMU, Mar 9: Khalsa Warrior Hockey Club won the title of Jammu District Senior Men Hockey Championship by defeating MBS Hockey Club, organised by Hockey J&K at KK Hakku Stadium, here today.
Khalsa Warrior Hockey Club trounced MBS Hockey Club by 3 goals to nil in the finals.
The first goal was scored by Sahil Kumar in the 61st minute of the game, while 2nd goal was netted by Manjot Singh in the 67th minute and 3rd goal was scored by Gagandeep Singh in the 69th minute of the game in the closely contested match in the 4th quarter of the game, while first three quarter of the game remained goalless.
Rajinder Singh Kuku introduced both the teams in presence of Ashok Singh Jamwal as the chief guest of the final match. He gave away the prizes to the teams and appreciated the efforts of Hockey J&K for successful conduct of the championship.
He further added that Jammu has the potential to produce good players of Hockey and Hockey J&K is doing its best in this direction.
Today’s matches were officiated by Charanjit Singh and Angat Singh, while Minakshi Khajuria and Anjali Thakur were the technical officers of the Match. Tejinder Singh was the Director of the tournament and Rajinder Singh Kuku and Rajeev Sharma were the members of the discipline committee.
