SRINAGAR, Sept 14: Arshid Khawaja of Kehwah Kings, Pranav Gupta of Surya Risers and Ulfat of Ahad Sultans emerged top run-getters, while medium fast bowler Nitin Mehra of Surya Risers, wrist spinner Manik Gupta of TCI Cheetahs and speedster Rohit Sharma of Saifco Lions topped the bowling averages in the Jammu and Kashmir Corporate Premium League (JKCPL), before the play offs, here.
While Khawaja scored 356 runs in 11 outings, Pranav made 313 runs in his 11 innings’ and Ulfat scored 311 runs in 11 matches so far in the league. Apart from this trio, Pawan Negi of TCI Cheetahs and Adil Reshi of Kehwah Kings scored 305 and 282 runs off 9 and 10 matches respectively. Ishtiaq of Kehwah, Jahangir of Khazir and Puneet Kumar of Jumbo Gladiators scored 270, 267 and 261 runs off 11 matches each.
Other top run-getters included Ishtiaq of Kanwal Tigers, Parveen Singh of Jumbo Gladiators, Asif Rasool of Sachdeva Leopards and Abid Nabi of Ahad Sultans, who scored 241, 236, 233 and 181 runs in 8, 10, 11 and 6 matches respectively.
Meanwhile, in the bowling Department, Nitin Mehra has bagged 23 wickets in 11 matches, while Manik Gupta scalped 22 wickets off 10 matches and Rohit Sharma claimed 20 wickets in the 9 matches that he played so far. Left-arm spinner Raman Dutta and military medium Adil Reshi also bagged 20 wickets each off 11 and 10 matches respectively.
Rompy Sharma of Surya Risers, Asif Rasool of Sachdeva Leopards and Warris of TCI Cheetahs claimed 19, 18 and 16 wickets in 10, 11 and 10 matches respectively. Left-arm spinner Vijay Dogra and medium fast bowler Samiullah Beigh bagged 15 wickets in 10 outings each.
