Khelo India City Open Archery Tournament concludes

LEH, Mar 28: Ladakh successfully hosted its first-ever Khelo India City Open Archery Tournament, organized by the Archery Association of Ladakh in collaboration with the Archery Association of India, SAI, NTPC and Khelo India. The event attracted over 250 participants from various regions of Ladakh, competing in three categories-Indian Round, Compound and Recurve.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman Tsering Angchuk, who encouraged the participants and applauded the organizers for their efforts in promoting archery in the region while closing ceremony was graced by Chairman, CEC Advocate Tashi Gyalson as the chief guest, with ADC Ghulam Mohd as the guest of honour. Other dignitaries included Councillor Panamik Tsering Sangdup and University of Ladakh Dean Dr. Jigmet Dachen.
CEC Gyalson commended the Archery Association of Ladakh for its dedication to developing the sport and providing local athletes with a platform to showcase their skills. He assured continued support from the LAHDC Leh to further promote archery and nurture young talent in Ladakh. The tournament concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where top performers were recognized for their exceptional performances.
