‘Khelo Khel Bhulo Nasha T20 Championship’ gets underway

JAMMU, Mar. 29: Jammu Rising Stars, RRL Royals and Jammu Vishal Kings registered emphatic wins in their matches on the inaugural day of the “Khelo Khel Bhulo Nasha T20 Championship for Junior Cricketers”, which got underway at Parade Ground, here today.
The Cricket Series for Junior Cricketers in which 8 teams are participating is being organized by District Police Jammu, under Civic Action Programme, under the directions of Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu, while SP City North is the head of the organizing team and Rajesh Gill is the Coordinator.
In the inauguration function, Dr.Vinod Kumar , SP City North was the Chief Guest whereas Vikrant Sharma CPO DPO and Vivek Shekhar Dy.SP City North were the Guests of Honour.
Earlier, in the first match, RRL Royals defeated Sehwag Daredevils by 30 runs.
Batting first, RRL Royals scored 113 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs, with Shavac (48), Aditya Abrol (17) and Dhruv (15) being the main scorers.
From Sehwag Daredavils, Varinder and Rajat took 2 wickets each, while Vatsal and Laith shared 1 wicket each.
Sehwag Daredevils, in reply made 83 runs in 17 overs, thus lost the match by 30 runs. Laith (14) and Varinder (8) were the main scorers.
From bowling side, Abu Bakar took 3 wickets, Jatin, Uday and Shrey too 2 wickets each and Dhruv took 1 wicket. Shavac was adjudged as man of the match.
In second match, Jammu Rising Stars defeated Little Flowers Akhnoor by 46 runs.
Batting first, Jammu Rising Stars scored 151 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 20 overs, with Shivash (71) and Arya Suvansh (54) being the main scorers.
From Little Flowers Akhnoor, Smile took 1 wicket.
Little Flowers Akhnoor, in made 106 runs in 19.5 overs, thus lost the match by 46 runs. Shubam (20), Manav (15) and Manik (13) were the main scorers.
From bowling side, Abhay Tondon was pick of the bowlers, who took 3 wickets, while Praful Dhar, Sachin Sharma and Aditpal Singh shared 2 wickets each. Shivansh was adjudged as man of the match.
In another match, Jammu Vishal Kings defeated MIER Shining Stars by 93 runs.
Batting first, Jammu Vishal Kings scored 157 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 20 overs, with Musaif (69) and Akshit (61) being the main scorers.
From bowling side, Surinder took 1 wicket for his team.
MIER Shining Stars, in reply bundled out for 64 runs in 16.4 overs, thus lost the match by 93 runs. For Vishal Kings, Umer Sadiq was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 wickets, while Dhruv, Pankaj and Jugjap Singh claimed 1 wicket each. Musaif was adjudged as man of the match.
