Kichloo castigates opportunist political parties for polarizing communities

JAMMU, Dec 25: Cautioning people against nefarious designs of opportunists and anti-people elements, who are trying to divide the communities on religion and regional lines, the Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Home, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo today called for united efforts to check the machinations of dubious political parties.
Addressing a gathering of people at Srinagar today, who had come to greet him on his re-induction in the Council of Ministers in the Coalition Government, Mr. Kichloo said J&K is a secular state, which has been the hallmark of its rich culture and ethos, adding that no one will be allowed to succeed in its nefarious plan to divide its people on the basis of region, religion, caste and creed.
Mr. Kichloo thanked the people and Omar led Coalition Government for reposing trust and faith on him despite the fact that money and muscle power was used to undermine his secular and nationalistic credentials. He said people of the state especially Kishtwar have demonstrated high degree of political maturity and secular spirit to expose perpetrated lies of defeated and opportunist political groups to dent his people image in the wake unfortunate August disturbance in Kishtwar.
He said now that truth has triumphed and now we should focus towards development and prosperity of the state especially backward and remote areas and to work to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for the purpose, Mr. Kichloo added.
