KISHTWAR, July 8: MLA Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo in presence of Tehsildar Kishtwar Indeerjeet Singh Parihar today inaugurated T20 Cricket Tournament at famous Chowghan ground Kishtwar, here today.
In this Tournament which is being organized by Kishtwar Sports Development Forum in the name of Qazi Mehmood. 20 teams from different parts of Kishtwar District are taking part in this tournament which is being played on knock out basis. The winner of the tournament will be awarded with cash prize of Rs 15000 alongwith a trophy, while the runners-up will be awarded with cash prize of Rs 10000 and a trophy.
While addressing the gathering, MLA Kishtwar said that sports is an important part of human life and said that state government is committed to promote sports activities in far flung areas of the state.
Meanwhile, the first match of the tournament was played between Youth Sarkoot and Youth Osmania wherein Youth Sarkoot registered a 4-wicket victory.
