RAJOURI, Jan 20: The police succeeded in recovering a kidnapped girl from Uttrakhand state and arrested the accused involved in kidnapping.
The minor girl was allegedly kidnapped by Reyaz Ahmed, son of Mohammad Qasim, resident of Moman Kote village of tehsil Chasana in district Reasi.
After complaint lodged by her family, a case FIR No. 118/2018 under sections 363/109 RPC was registered in police station, Thanamandi.
During investigation in past few months, various raids were made by police at several places at Srinagar, Jammu, Reasi etc to trace the kidnapped girl but efforts failed to bring result.
However, three days ago, a reliable information was received that the kidnapped girl along with the accused are in Chamba area of Uttarakhand.
A special team was constituted and was sent to trace the kidnapped girl and trace out the girl from Uttarakhand state. The accused person was also arrested and put behind the bars. The girl after Medical examination was handed over to the family.
