Kidnapped girl rescued, accused arrested

JAMMU, May 9: Peer Mitha police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, an information was received at Police Station Peer Mitha that one Alto car driven by Farhat Abass, son of Amjad Ali Shah of Old Janipur had kidnapped a girl.
On this instance, a case under FIR Number 29/17 under Section 366 RPC was registered and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police swung into action and conducted several raids at different areas of district Jammu and district Samba.
On specific information, police recovered the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused from Jakh, District Samba. The vehicle used to kidnap the girl was also seized.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Peer Mitha police station Inspector Mashkoor Ahmed Giri and assisted by Incharge Gujjar Nagar police post SI Shariq Bhat recovered the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO City Vivek Shekhar and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
