RAMBAN, May 26: Ramban police rescued a woman and arrested the kidnaped from Batote.
As per police sources, Sher Ali of Kanga lodged a missing complaint of his wife with police station Ramban.
Acting on the complaint, a missing report was registered and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, it came to fore that the woman has been kidnapped by Abdul Qayoom, son of Bashir Ahmed of Baghna Seri.
On specific information, police team from Ramban police station led by SHO Inspector Ajay Singh Chib under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar conducted a raid in Batote area and rescued the woman. The kidnapper was also arrested on the spot.
The woman was restored to family members after conducting medical examination.
A case under FIR number 60/15 under Section 366 and 109 RPC has been registered at police station Ramban and investigation started.
