JAMMU, Nov 13: Goenkans displayed true determination, perseverance and guts when they participated in the Kids-Coo-Athletic Meet 2013-2014 at Goenkan Acres, here.
This was the first of its kind Athletic Meet organized by GD Goenka Public School, Jammu Governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust.
The athletes participated and competed with one another displaying true sportsman spirit.
Lighting of the torch was done by 3 emerging athletes of the school namely Malvika Kapoor of Class 8th, Vanshika Manhas of Class 7th and Agrevey Thappa of Class 10th.
School Director, Sanya Bansal and Principal, Jyoti Asija released balloons and declared the Meet open in a colourful, impressive and well attended function.
Suman Bansal was the chief guest on the occasion.
The students of classes 3rd to 11th participated in the different events organized on the day. The special attraction was the yoga and the Karate demonstration, wherein the students performed Vrikshasan, Veerbhadra Asan, Usht Asan, etc.
Radha Krishnan House emerged as the champion.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Jyoti Asija applauded the efforts put in by the students and the teachers to make the show a success.
